No, seriously. I will never see him as a hero.

Don't feel bad. I certainly can't.

He brough balance to the force...
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

I don't see him as a hero, either. Not in the common sense.

Yep, by eliminating the Jedi order, he brought it to an even and balanced number again.Teaos wrote:He brough balance to the force...
Palpatine and him
vs
Yoda and Obi-Wan
Quite balanced

Re: Kids in Trek (aka Recovering Wesley's battered reputation)
Yoda and Obi-Wan should've let the whiney little biotch go, and both attacked Palpatine. They might've actually won. They could track down Anakin later.

Agreed. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan had no trouble ganging up on Darth Maul.

Well, one of them did get killed, but otherwise, they did fine.
The Emperor was the greater threat, and should've had their maximum attention and effort. Dividing your forces is almost always dumb.

Right. Simple odds. I guess Yoda just didn't expect to get his ass kicked.

Of course, Obi-Wan likely wouldn't have survived.

Leaving Yoda to deal with Darth Vader. A rather short fight, I'd imagine. Sith destroyed.Mark wrote:Of course, Obi-Wan likely wouldn't have survived.

I think between the two of them, they could've done it. Of course, if Anakin Wusswalker hadn't interfered, Mace Windu could've handled it himself.
