Did we see the entire battle? Or the entire debris field after?

I think we saw most of the debris field.

We saw a lot of debris but I don't think we saw nearly enough to account for 39 federation ships, not unless the Borg were in the habit of vaporizing things.

Why wouldn't they, they have no reason to keep them, they weren't assimilating them, so they may have just vaporized half the ships.

Except that requires a lot more energy than just destroying them. Why use all that excess energy to vaporize the target when you can just destroy them conventionally?

good point, and considering the Borg's almost desperate need to use less energy than they make...

Yeah, but we never even saw a Klingon ship fragment. If they DID show up, I can't imagine they survived.

Maybe they jumped in before or after the Federation fleet, leading to their battle (and thus their debris field) being in a different part of the system.

I had always thought that a Klingon engagement with the cube, if any, took place at a different location. It beggars rationality to think that the Borg left wreckage from UFP ships, but not from Klingon ships that were present.

they probably jumped in before, the Enterprise didn't say anything about another delay after the fleet at W359 was destroyed.

Or they didn't leave any wreckage. If the Klingons made a mass suicide ramming run, perhaps they were completely vaporized?

could be, sounds like something the Klingon's would do.

If the Klingons all rammed the Borg ship, I doubt the Borg would bother vaporizing the inert wreckage.

well, if they got up to sufficient enough speed, the hulk of their ships might still be in the Borg cube, and the debris that flaked off wouldn't be big enough to identify as Federation/Klingon from space.

When we saw the Cube latter it looked in fairly good shape...
