The Scimitar vs...

Post by SuperSaiyaMan12 »

...10 Defiant-class ships (With USS Defiant leading), 4 Akira-class ships, two Galaxy-class ships (USS Venture and USS Galaxy), 1 Intrepid-class ship (USS Voyager), 1 Sovereign-class ship (USS Enterprise-E), and the two Noreaxan-class ships.

How does the battle turn out in this scenario? Picard, Sisko, and Janeway are leading the fleet.

Umm... thats just a total rape for the Scimitar. Might as well just blow herself up and save everyone the trouble.

Yeah that's pretty insanely stacked against the Scimitar.

How about I change the numbers then?

USS Definat (Defiant-class), USS Enterprise-E (Sovereign-class), USS Voyager (Intrepid-class), and USS Venture (Galaxy-class). Little more even against the Scimitar?

Even with the strengths and advatages of the Scimitar, that's just way too one sided. As soon as the fleet got a general idea where the ship was hiding out, they could just spray fire that way indiscrimately and get enough hits to bring down her shields and blow her apart.

Yeah... I think the Scimitar's outmatched, here. And the tactical acumen of Sisko and Picard stack it more, too.

As we saw, even the Enterprise with a little help from two Norexans were able to defeat the Scimitar. Once you can triangulate the fire, you can pretty much pound the ship. A ship MVAM might actually work well. But we don't need to bring that one up again...

The firs senario is a curbstomp, Second, the Scimitar would take out the weaker ships but would probably be bested in the end.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

The Scimitar is just going to get raped... thats all there is to it. That goes for both matches.

I think the big arse guns up front could knock the Intrepid and possibly the Defiant out before it went down.

The first scenario results in Shinzon getting slapped all around the nebula, with little casualties to the Federation forces.
The second scenario is a bit more even, but Shinzon still loses due to simple overwhelming force.

It would be a lot easier for the Scimitar to hit the Sovereign and Galaxy, possibly even the Intrepid, before it could land even 1 simgle hit on the Defiant.
Remember the Defiant is extremely maneuverable, and hits just as hard as the Galaxy.

As soon as one of the ships gets a good hit on the Scimitar, it would be child's play for the Defiant to bring its big guns to bear and unload its Pulse phasers on the ship...
Plus, it also has a cloaking device, allowing it to coast unseen until it's ready to attack...

The Defiant would be safe but I think Voyager would die first and that's not just wishful thinking. Pretty basic tactical logic to get rid of a small/weak enemy unit first and start reducing their firepower quickly.

Aye, it's small enough to be a nice target, but big enough to be incapable of maneouvering quickly.

Yeah, I have trouble imagining Voyager giving the Scimitar more trouble then the two Norexians gave it...

Still, every shot on Voyager (preferably with Janeway in command) is a shot not hitting one of the other ships...
