Bring along another mini-transporter, drop his phaser set to overload, and go. Instead he stands there staring at it them blows himself up. It was weak.

Exactly. Utterly pointless, and just plain stupid as well.

To be fair, the mini-transporter was a prototype, and they only had one.

This is, again, ignoring the shuttle transporters...

I'm "Meh" about Data returning, but after reading this twice today, I like the way it sets up the new movie. Overall, the comic is worth a quick read (and at under 100 pages total, it's VERY quick), and really touches on some pretty nice parts of the universe we know and love.l

At $18 it's not exactly cheap, since that's usually the cost of 2.5 regular paperbacks. But if for nothing but collector's purposes, it's nice.
