Hardly. The former is merely outdated, and the latter is a science ship, not a warship. They're unsuited for modern combat, but that doesn't make them bad designs in the same way as the Batch 1 GCS.

Agreed. You have to compare the design to its intended purpose. Not if it can match a ship from 100 years in the future.
