My guess too. For a while I was toying with the idea of an Oberth Gunboat, with a smaller secondary pod that had a couple of launchers. There's a website out there with a similar design, and it's somewhat cool.

Hmm, Oberth and Akira kitbash, with the weapons pod on the bottom.
No trees were killed in transmission of this message. However, some electrons were mildly inconvenienced.

I agree, those are really good. I've always had a soft spot for the Nova.
