I always thought of warbirds a general term for Romulan warships. Then again, I think someone called a Klingon warship a warbird at some point :?

Do you have an idea as to when or what ep? That could start up a debate all of its own.

I have a nasty feeling it was Enterprise. Or early TNG.

OH! Well, either case it could be helpful to know the context of whatever was going on.

I think the term 'warbird' has come to mean most high powered Romulan ships or Klingon Birds of Prey, simply because of their appeareance and purpose. After the Negh'var and Vor'cha Classes however the 'warbird' term is becomming much more afiliated with the Romulans.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.
