Place in airlock.
Exit airlock.
Hit the big "vent airlock" button.
Watch as M/AM charge gets fired out of the ship by the decompression.

Easy enough, unless I'm missing something.
I'd honestly like to know if such a thing is possible, how fast does an airlock decompress and why would you even have one that wasn't designed to decompress before the door opened if the cliche of explosive decompression was reality?

Well, presumably you could just break the system that vents the air before the hatch opens. God knows Fed systems are easy enough to break, and they had a good while to prepare for this stuff.

As for whether or not the whole explosive decompression is realistic or a cliche, no idea. But given what happened in NEM, we know it's at least possible in Trek. :P

Ah, well if it comes to it you just strap a small rocket to the thing. A simple chemical rocket of some sort should be easy for them (and replicatable)

I guess the better question is where are these antimatter charges being released from?
Don't you hear my call, though you're many years away, don't you hear me calling you?

Just had a visual of Happy Gilmore and Tiger Woods in TNG uniform running along the length of a room with drivers

Your forgetting Happy and Tiger. J/K

But a sudden decompression would have "looked" different from what we saw.

How so? We saw the bursts from quite a distance away, with no real way to see how it looked as they were launched.
And anyway, just how many real life decompressions have you seen? :P

I took me a good minute to work out what LCD was. We're there so often I can't tell anymore.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.
