I'm very tempted to just edit your post into some derogatory message using my mod powers.

Agreed. If you have to do that, do it in the Forum Community thread specifically for random posts.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Yep. Feel free to necro that one; I might do it myself.

You know, the new ST novels has renewed my interest in the Borg. I'm finding them interesting again, now that a single Intrepid Class scout can't go toe to toe with one. I've just started book two, and I'm digging the Borgs new extermination philosiphy.

Extermination? That doesnt sound very Borg like.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

It can work. Assimilate whatever tech of use Race X has, then exterminate Race X to prevent them being a further threat.
Not exactly Borg SOP, but it can fit them.

It looks like (granted, I'm only on book 2) the Borg have up on assimilating the Fed, and just want to wipe them out now.

Maybe they've decided that they don't need any more drones.

Basically, the Federation was too much trouble, yeah. How far are you up to in the series?
