Naa.....everybody knows there just a baseball team.

But seriously......when I was in the Army. My ENTIRE training consisted of 16 weeks. Basic Combat Training teaches you how to use the Army's various tools and weapons (ie the M-16A2 rifle, M60 Machine gun, AT4 Rocket Launcher, M203 grenade launcher, and how to toss a handgrenade without killing everyone around you), and Advanced Individual Training taught us how to do our "jobs". Officers had MUCH more extensive training.
They say that in the Army,
the women are mighty fine.
They look like Phyllis Diller,

I dunno about your military but in ours most of the officers training consists of their degree with a Basic and a mini combat training course tacked on. There are some trades courses for enlisted personnel that last over two years though, mostly the highly technical trades.

Honestly, I've been thinking doing SOMETHING involving the Acadamy. Maybe a series of short stories surrounding one of my RP characters from the Daystrom. I don't know why, but the day to day life of a cadet at the acadamy fasinates me.

It fascinates a lot of people, Mark. One of the perennial spinoff ideas is almost always setting the show at the Academy.

The only problem with it as a TV series is that it's closed-ended. You can't have a show more than four, maybe five years set at the Academy.

Maybe if you focused on the cadets who get held back...

Focus on mediocrity? That's American education, not entertainment.

Hey, our public schools turn out some of the worlds finest killing machines of the modern age. Whats more, most can even read the instructions on the weapons they're using.

Instructions? How do you get instructions with a weapon that has the serial number shaved off?

Oh, good. All those "This way towards enemy" labels on rocket launchers aren't going to waste. :P
