How'd we get from Replicators supposedly destroying the economy to photonic cannons and hull armor?!!?!?

Only on DITL..... :DITL:

(I'll read the thread when I have time, or care enough to waste that time...:P)

The E-D is the greatest and best ship that ever existed in Star Trek.

misnoopy is the boards lone E-D fanwhore, or at least the only one who will regularly admit and defend it.

I like the ship, too. I can separate OU and IU reasons for the peril it's in.

I said fanwhore not fan. misnoopy is the only one on the board I regularly see defending the GCS/Federation to the point of rabidity.

Don't get me wrong.....I liked the SHIP, but the way she was set up and designed just don't make to much sense.

I hate the entire fracking thing, both in-universe and out. The only time I ever liked it was when it was crashing down in flames in ST7.

Like I saide. One line and you have a totaly new topic.

But hey like it or not.
The GCS were:
The most heavaly armed
The most heavaly shielded
the fasted ships at the time.
And during the Dominion war they were the center piece of every fleet action and they performed greate.

Saying that they were better than anything else, or that they performed well, doesn't negate the fact that there were problems to be corrected.

That says more about the shitastic state that Starfleet was in prior to the Dominion War than anything good about the GCS.

Indeed we do. Shall I split it so we can discuss it further?

*sighs*

One tiny little scratch..

...and boom.

Therefore the GCS is utter shite.

But Seafort, the GCS was magicaly made uber-weak by the same anomaly that affected the Miranda, despite there being no dialogue to state this!
