Re: USS Stargazer
By using brakes that would have been easier and safer to use from the INSIDE of the car. But still, good work on that.
And now we look forward to round two...

Indeed. The car went down hard in round 2 due to lack of oil.

No, it's the one he wrote off going into a ditch in January. The one with the knackered engine thanks to lack of oil was the replacement.Rochey wrote:Indeed. The car went down hard in round 2 due to lack of oil.

Ah, right.
Geez, you really have crap luck with cars, don't you? First one tries to run you over, then you total that one, then you don't change the oil in the second one.....

My pickup truck went through worse times then that, yet still kept going. I think the cars just don't like the friendly Blackstar.

When we had the Hyundai lantra, it was literally bulldozed by a careless construction vehicle. and yet it worked fully, having had a large part of the car cave in.

You forgot the time I went in the ditch with my mother's mini-van during a blizzard. Although I did almost save that one, if the car in front of me hadn't been so slow or I had better brakes/tires I could've saved it. But I was still going too fast so went through a snowbank that had formed(at the end of an off-ramp) hoping to slow it down, but it wasn't enough and ended up in the ditch with the van tipping at a bit of an angle. When we got it towed the next day it took an hour for them to pull it out. It's amazing that the worst injury I've gotten from these cars was a burned finger.Rochey wrote:Ah, right.

Oh, and I didn't total the Cavalier, it committed suicide.

The bolded bit seems a frequent phrase whenever you and cars appear in the same post. Might be something to bear in mind.Blackstar the Chakat wrote:You forgot the time I went in the ditch with my mother's mini-van during a blizzard. And who exactly was behind the wheel at the time?Oh, and I didn't total the Cavalier, it committed suicide.

IIRC, shi ended up rolling that one into a ditch.

I think I see the problem - when driving, it's often a bad idea to leave the decision-making up to the car.

Ok, Blackstar. Total them up for me. Exactly how many cars have you totaled? Including assisted suicides.
