What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

You know he's serious when he uses multiple vowels.
Seriously, though, he has a point. Perhaps toning it down would be good.

Re: Saucer Seperation
I was just thinking about the capabilities of a seperated saucer section and then it hit me........an anti-matter spread! What the heck is an anti-matter spread? How does it work? What is it's purpose? Seems to me to be little more than a light show to disrupt the Borg sensors to hide the shuttle.......but anti-matter is both powerful and volitile. And has anybody body else ever heard of it being used again?

Re: Saucer Seperation
Yes, an antimatter spread SHOULD result in the quick destruction of both the launching ship and anything else within range. IU, I can only imagine that it refers to an effect derived from using antimatter - perhaps the energy released from a small-scale controlled reaction. OOU, it's the writers tripping themselves on their own technobabble.

In real like it would make one hell of a bang but in the show they treat it like chaf.

::::grumbling::::
That makes less sense as usual for the writers, but I see your point. It's only good a REALLY point black range, and didn't seem to do any damage at all. Quite a useless feature, wouldn't you say?

Re: Saucer Seperation
That much energy bouncing around must pay havoc on sensors. I'm going to agree that the anti-matter spread was most likely a light show under controlled bursts.

Wonder what would have happened if one of those "sparkelers" had accidently hit the shuttle? Would it have destoyed it? Or just "marked" it?

Re: Saucer Seperation
The shuttle was running at low power which means no shields. It would have melted.
