I don't think there is a rule against that though. Besides, they were marks of "Culture" not weapons.

Isn't that from a novel?Mark wrote:Come to think of it, they even used to let him get away with carrying concealed weapons on him. How many blades did he have hidden on him at any given time?

I don't think he regularly carried non-standard weapons - only when he selected some for a particular situation.

He always seemed to have his Mek'leth pretty handy though. Maybe carried in a sheath inside the back of his bandoleer?Mikey wrote:I don't think he regularly carried non-standard weapons - only when he selected some for a particular situation.
OMG....I just now for the first time saw the similarities between Work and Chewbacca. How could I have missed that? No wonder calling him "Woof" was so darn funny

The uniforms for TOS looked like pyjamas.
The uniforms for TMP were also pyjamas.
But when you came to the Star Trek II - Pre TNG period, whoa, that uniform is CLASSIC. Stylish and clean.
TNG uniforms - spandex body coverings.
VOY & early DS9 - same thing, but color and arrangement get jumbled up a lot.
First Contact... those uniforms were darker, more military.

Aye, STII era uniforms looked like something you'd expect to see a military officer wearing.

Yes and no, they loked like military uniforms, but they looked like they were from the 1800's. Form over function, modern uniforms are the other way around, and I would imagin future uniforms will be as well sine it just makes sense.

Just watched TSFS again a couple of nights ago, and I have to say that I like the alternate bomber jackets.

Then, Spock literally walked around in pajamas in TVH (well, a bathrobe)

Re: Uniform fashion sense
Sorry but to me the STII-VI uniforms fit very well in both form and function.

Re: Uniform fashion sense
They are to bulky and cumbersome in my opinion, uniforms should never restrict movement and should always provide some sort of benifit (camo, carrying stuff, protection) something these uniforms had nothing of.
