Wesley Crusher shouldn't have been on the bridge acting like an officer, he should have been in Stellar Cartography all night looking for asteroids shaped like cows.
I believe it was, and a fair upgrade from the terrarium they used in "Lessons."

And yeah, I think we've all espressed our sentiments as to where Wesley belonged.

Given that a ship like the E-D has like 1 person per 5,000 tons or so (as compared to the largest warship today which has 1 per 15 tons), then it pretty much has to have oodles and oodles of rooms that people rarely use. I don't find it hard at all to believe that spaces as big as that Stellar Cartography imaging room are often unmanned.

That also fits in with what Dax had said of the original 1701 in the DS9 Tribbles episode, how "they really packed them in" back then, implying that TNG-Voyager era ships were much more spacious.

Which (again) pisses me off about Enterprise, considering how roomy and spacious the NX class was, even giving ensigns personal quarters and allowing an entire cargo bay to be usurped for some silly situation room without any apparent problem and a section of ship to be devoted soley to Trellium D research (and T'Pol personal crack house).

And no, I never tire of taking pot shots at Enterprise. ;)

Good. :)

What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Great point! Didn't "Crewman Danials" even have his own quarters, and he was "supposed" to be an enlisted man?

You're right, they sealed off his quarters didn't they? The guy served lunch, for Christ's sake and yet he had his own room.

Perhaps his room was just a bunk, a toilet/sink, and a small dresser? I know its spartan to think of, but I've seen prison cells that are no bigger than 6x8. It might not be absurd to think that these people can have their own rooms. Hell, its an upgrade from conditions on a submarine.

That's the point. One would think the crew housing would be similar to that of a 1950's submarine, and certainly one wouldn't expect private quarters fro anyone under Lt. Cmdr. rank.

I can't remember, but I think Danials wasn't alone, or at least wasn't intended to be. IIRC, he had a bunk bed (the kind that are one on top of the other, if anyone doesn't know). Though I may be mistaken, I wasn't paying much attention during the episode.

I could be wrong, (granted it's been a while) but in a later episode didn't it show the interior of Danials room, when Archer was looking for some kind of futuristic gizmo or other? If I remember right, it looked like a standard sized room.
