Galaxy Class Medical Facilities
Not sure if this should go here, but does anyone have any idea how many medical beds were on a Galaxy-class starship? Memory Alpha says they had at least three sickbay wards (two on the saucer, and one on the stardrive) but not how many beds they have. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

If you mean specifically the ones like we see in the Main Patient Ward, there are somewhere between 9-12. However, there's also a primary, biohazard, and overflow ICU, at least 4 isolation rooms, a dedicated surgical suite, a critical care/triage area, and, in a pinch, as many as they can replicate and cram into a holodeck, cargo hold, or shuttle bay.

Re: Galaxy Class Medical Facilities
Not a canon answer, but if the Galaxy Class could really transport a few thousand people in an emergency (Yar said it could carry up to 6000 troops and the Technical Manual says it can evacuate 15,000) it would only stand to assume that there are numerous ways that large amounts of medical facilities could be converted/fabricated in relatively short notice.

Re: Galaxy Class Medical Facilities
I believe there was mention once of converting cargo bays into wards.
Lemme look...
Hide & Q :
CRUSHER: Include a burn unit with each kit. Upon arrival, identify the most critically injured and beam them up to cargo bay six.
