I died watching that review... I mean, I don't want juicy Vulcan brain, I don't know what your talking about.

I'm glad he didn't attempt to take the episode seriously, it made the review that much better.

True Story...

Went to see a good friend's commencement ceremony for the Texas A&M University Graduating class (not sure the year, but I wanna say early '90s). The guest speaker was Governor Ann Richards. I swear to God, she incorporates THIS Star Trek Episode into her speech.

REALLY! I shit you not! And not like a quick mention either, she spent several minutes of explanation on the plot and how it incorporated into the point of her message to the graduating class. At this point, I forgot the point of her speech to the graduating class, as we all sat there stunned from this experience...

Memories of her trying to explain this plot still run thru my head even now...

Probably yes....

(I kid, sorry Tsu the straight line was too good to pass up )

{Edit} After a brief encounter with Wikipedia, turns out she was no re-elected. She lost to George W. Bush.

By the state that elected Dubya?

EDIT: beaten to the punch. Evidently Spock's Brain is far too intellectual for Texas.

Watch it now...

If you're not nice and careful to us Texans, we'll inflict ANOTHER governor on ya.

Our current incarnation is known as 'Rick Perry'. He has:

1) A mighty fine set of hair.
2) Wants to amend the US constitution in 7 different ways.
3) Wants to Feds to pay us back for housing illegal immigrants that the border wall doesn't seem to be holding back...

So.. Be nice... or else... !ouch)
