Kirk's Best Command Decisions

Post by Sionnach Glic »

Ian suggested that in addition to the "Worst command decisions" polls, we could also have a "Best command decisions" poll. So here it is.

Well, what are some of Kirk's best decisions?

Surrendering to Kronos One in The Undiscovered Country. Quite likely prevented a war by not opening fire.

I wanna say what he did in 'The Enterprise Incident', which resulted in the capture of a working cloaking device and the Romulan COmmander as a prisoner, but I'm not sure how to phrase it. :(

Perhaps: "What he did in 'The Enterprise Incident' which resulted in the capture of a working cloaking device and the Romulan Commander as a prisoner."
"All this has happened before --"
"But it doesn't have to happen again. Not if we make up our minds to change. Take a different path. Right here, right now."

A Taste of Armageddon.

He lead the Grim Reaper by the hand into their midst and made men of cowards, enlightened the foolish, and saved the multitudes.

Aye, denying the Klingons an intact example of one of the UFP's warships was definitely a good one.

Yep. Kirk blew up Enterprise to keep the Klingons from having her.

Picard left Stargazer just float right into Ferengi hands.
