Yeah, there's one on the main site. *shrug* Like I said, I don't really know, so I'll just shut up now. :)

As for Portal, not a big fan myself either (no offence Graham! :) ), though I haven't seen more than one or two crossover stories that I've really liked at all, I'm naturaly picky.

Try Striker's 'Where no Jedi has Gone Before', it is an excellent Star Wars/Star Trek crossover: http://boards.theforce.net/beyond_the_s ... 7999589/p1

I liked what you have already. Not sure if this counts as a vs thread so I'll keep my opinion to myself on respective shield strengths, speeds, and weapon strengths i've seen. But there is plenty of stuff on youtube.

I read one a few years ago where Worf became a Jedi (and really toned down his lunacy), it was awesome. Unfortunately it was never finished.

A really good one is Unity at http://sfdebris.com (the home of OVEG) and Stravo's StarCrossed which can be found at SDN's cleaned up fanfics section.

I enjoyed the hell out of Unity, personally. Never thought I could like a SW/ST crossover, but it's really well-written.

Agreed, Unity takes the cake for me. Very well done.
Starcrossed was another that I thought was very good. I liked how Darth Nemesis came about, it was very believable.

I've read Conquest and the first Unity trilogy, but not the second. I'll also have to see about reading Starcrossed, given the positive reviews here.

You should check out the second Unity trilogy. The main villain is a bit of a surprise, but still makes perfect sense...

Starcrossed

Do yourself a favour and read it. :)

Saiya: I've read the first few bits of Striker's fic, and it seems quite good. I'll make sure to read more of it tomorrow. :)

Thanks, Rochey, but really... my grammar skills sucked like the Maw Cluster back then. I'm trying to rewrite it so it's not so painful to read.

Chapter 2: A Galaxy at War
Hoth System
The Enterprise-E swooped into battle, it's phasers lashing out against the massive triangular vessel identified by Commander Wedge Antilles as an Imperial-class Star Destroyer. The yellow orange blasts from the phasers slammed into the destroyer's shields, and the Sovereign-class heavy cruiser launched five photon torpedoes at the Imperial vessel, all of which impacted the shields in a massive explosion. The Star Destroyer returned fire, its turbolasers lashing out and inflicting damage on the Enterprise's shields.

"Captain, shields are down to 80%," Worf said as the ship shook again from another turbolaser blast. "75%!"

"Mr. Data, have you identified the tractor beam projectors on the 'Star Destroyer'?" Picard asked as the bridge shook again from another blast of turbolaser fire.

"Yes sir, I have, but they are heavily shielded," Data said as his scans brought up a rough schematic of the Imperial-class Star Destroyer, and red circles appeared around the tractor beam emitters. He sent the schematic to Worf, who began targetting the emitters with phaser fire and photon torpeodes.

Wedge was shocked at the agility that the Enterprise displayed, it was fighting like a big starfighter more than a lumbering, extremely hard to destroy capital ship. He put his X-Wing into a steep dive, strafing the Tyrant (he could now identify what vessel it was) with laser fire just as several phaser blasts impacted on the Imperial ship's shields.

"Arfive, patch me through to Captain Picard again," Wedge ordered as he dodged several emerald green flashes from turbolasers trying to target him. "Captain, to bring the shields down we have to focus our assaults on the Sensor Towers on the Tyrant's bridge."

"Understood, thank you for the assistance Commander," Picard said from the bridge as the Enterprise climbed, and then went down into a steep dive, it's ventral phasers firing as several silvery Quantam Torpedoes left the forward turret.

The left bridge tower, which had shrugged off two consecutive proton torpedo assaults buckled under the phaser/Quantam Torpedo assault. The tower exploded, bringing starboard shields down. The Enteprise swooped behind the Tyrant, its phasers lashing out at the engines, taking out two of them before targetting the tractor beam emitters with torpedoes.

Two red photon torpedoes struck the tractor beam emitters as the Tyrant's bottom turbolaser battery fired point blank at the Enterprise. Top shielding flashed, barely holding back from the firepower the Imperial vessel unleashed on it, but it's current task was done, the Humbarine was released from the tractor beam. Its thrusters fired, but without its engines it couldn't make the jump to hyperspace.

"Sir, the...Alliance vessel is hailing us," Data said and Picard nodded.

"On screen," Picard ordered as a shot of the ruined bridge of the Humbarine appeared, with several wounded or dead people appearing on the bridge.

"T-Thank you for your help...but we can't jump to hyperspace. Our engines our fried."

"You have wounded?"

"Yes, some severely and our sickbay was destroyed by the blast as well."

"We'll beam you out," Picard said as the Enteprise shuddered from another turbolaser blast. "Sickbay, prepared to recieve wounded."

The Enterprise swooped above the Humbarine, and the crewmembers of the ship were, to their miraculous amazement, teleported off their crippled vessel. They appeared in a sickbay that was already dealing with the Enterprise's wounded. A beautiful red haired woman came over with a strange device in hand.

"I'm Doctor Beverely Crusher, if you'll follow me I'll try to help the most wounded," the woman said and the Humbarine crew members nodded.

The Enterprise shook again from another turbolaser blast. Around it, Rogue Squadron flew in escort as it launched a final volley of Quantam Torpedoes at the chasing behemouth. Two slammed into the shields, while the last two slammed right into the duranium hull of the massive ship, igniting a fireball that took out the aft turbolaser battery. In vengence, the Tyrant gave one last shot from it's batteries before it gave up the chase. The emerald turbolaser bolt struck Wedge's fighter, blowing the shields away and damaging the engines.

"Sir, Commander Antilles' attack fighter was severely damaged by that last assault, it's starting to carreen into our nacelle," Worf informed the captain.

"Transporter room, lock onto Comander Antille's lifesign and beam him aboard, quickly!"

In his fighter, Wedge thought this was the end as his fighter went out of control. Suddenly, his body began glowing blue...and it disappeared from the cockpit just as the X-Wing crashed into the nacelle's shielding. He landed with a thud on the transporter room platform, and he looked around in shock.

"W-What happened...?" Wedge asked in awe, looking around to see several men in uniforms he had never seen before.

"Welcome aboard the Enterprise-E Commander Antilles," the transporter chief offered, and then he tapped a strange gold badge on his gray/black uniform. "Captain, we have sucessfully rescued Commander Antilles from his crashing attack fighter."

Wedge looked around the transporter room, it was...otherworldly to say the least. Taking off his helmet, he looked around and the transporter chief's eyebrow raised lightly. Wedge could see the pointy-ears on his face, making him, under Old Republic and Galactic Empire standard a 'Near-Human' species, but he couldn't identify which.

On the bridge, Picard ordered the ship to 'get the hell out of here', and the Sovereign-class heavy cruiser jumped to Warp 5, just as several turbolaser blasts converged on it. The Captain leaned back in his chair, heaving a sigh. Smoke was rising from the overloaded consoles and there were a few crewmembers injured in the battle. Casualty and damage reports were coming in from all decks. Most minor, but a few were serious.

"Understood, Lieutenant, I'm on my way," Picard replied as he got out of his chair. He was weighing what he did in his mind, seeing if it was worth stranding his crew in this unknown space just to save a group of 'rebels'.

ISS Tyrant
Fires were raging on the bridge of the Imperial I-class Star Destroyer. Stormtroopers and Marines were fighting the blaze as best they could while Lennox and Cabbel were helping their men as best they could. The damage done by the unknown ship that aided the Rebels was massive. Lennox wiped the soot out of his face and grimaced, and he stormed to his tactical officer.

"Mind explaining why we were beaten by a ship that was less than half our size?" Lennox snarled and the man gulped.

"S-Sir, the energy readings from their weapons put them on the level of an Imperial II-class Star Destroyer...we did inflict some damage to them, but their ship's agility far outlcassed ours," the tactical officer said. "They used a new beam and torpedo weapons against us..."

Lennox snarled. "And now such a ship is in the hands of the Rebels. I want to know what type of ship and where it came from by tomorrow morning!"

"Yes sir!"

"If you don't, I'll blame this loss on you and transfer you to Lord Vader's command himself so he can deal with your incompetence!"

"Y-Yes sir!"

Lennox snarled, and he leaned back. He started checking the damage reports on his ship. Nearly 40 decks had hull breaches, half his weapons compliment was destroyed, several TIE Fighters were also destroyed in the battle, and not only that, the left Sensor/Shield tower was just a fireball that was slowly dying down. He sighed, and began to help his men take the dead and wounded off the bridge to sick bay.

USS Enterprise-E
A few minutes after he was beamed aboard, Wedge Antilles met with, to his slight shock, a balding human with a commanding presence. This...Captain Picard was also amazed that Wedge himself was human, and he invited the Rebel Commander to his Ready Room. Wedge was amazed by the technology that he was seeing in the ship when they walked down the hallways to the turbolift.

"...so you're from a United Federation of Planets?" Wedge asked as the turbolift began rising up through the decks.

"Yes. It stretches 8000 light years and has nearly 140 members and nearly 3000 colonies," Picard replied as they stopped at Deck 3, and both walked off. "Recently, we fought the most devestating war in our history. We allied ourselves with the Klingon Empire and Romulan Star Empire to engage the Dominion, a power from the Gamma Quadrant that seeked to conquer us all. After two extremely bloody years of fighting, the Federation Alliance prevailed and the Dominion agreed to stay on its side of the wormhole, and not attack any of our ships again."

Wedge nodded. "This war is about restoring the Republic that once governed the Galaxy for nearly 25,000 years. The Rebel Alliance was founded five years ago by Galen Marek, who organized Mon Mothma, Bail Organa, and Garm Bel-Iblis into an uniting their systems against the Galactic Empire..." he started, breathing out. "The Galactic Empire was founded nearly three decades ago when Emperor Palpatine declared, for the 'protection' against another Sepratist Threat, that the Galactic Republic, which as I said earlier, stood for 25,000 years, would become the 'First Galactic Empire'. Since then, the Empire had began mercilessly conquering worlds, enslaving non-human races under the 'High Human Culture' that was started in the Core, and bombarding planets into submission, sometimes completely wasting them under a Base Delta Zero operation...but the worse act came three years ago when Grand Moff Tarkin used the Imperial Terror Superweapon, the Death Star, to destroy the peaceful world of Alderaan in one blast."

Picard regarded his story, the fall of the Galactic Republic was almost remanicient of the fall of the Roman Republic into becoming a Roman Empire. Part of him thought...if something like this happened in the Federation years from now, would it stay trues to the ideals it was founded upon? Or would it fall, becoming another brutal Empire. The thought...sickened him.

"How was the Death Star destroyed?" Picard asked softly.

"During the Battle of Yavin, which was three years ago. Thirty starfighters were launched against it from Yavin IV Base, the majority were destroyed either by Darth Vader or the station's guns, but Commander Luke Skywalker, a good friend of mine, made the shot that destroyed it. The weakness of the Death Star was it's thermal exhaust port, which was ray shielded. That meant laser and turbolaser blasts wouldn't work on it, so proton torps had to be used. Luke made the one in a million shot, shoving two torps down the exhaust port, which caused a chain reaction that destroyed the station."

Picard nodded. "Any idea where we should be headed? We can send word to your fleet and squadron that you are alright."

"The closest system is Bespin. From what I can tell, its only a week away on this...Warp Drive of yours. With a modern Hyperdrive, it'd be a day," Wedge replied. "As far as I know, Bespin's neutral, I'd be able to send word to the Fleet that I'm okay."

Picard nodded as they entered his ready room. "We'll have quarters prepared for you, Commander Antilles."

"Thank you," Wedge said as he was offered to sit down. "Now what else do you want to talk about..."

"The Imperial's army and navy, for one..."

To Be Continued...

Good post, action-packed. Man, Wedge might've thought he was dead when he was beamed off. ;) Nice to see them getting along like this. Can't wait for more!
