I did this in crayon a couple years ago while bored one day. Enjoy.

Much obliged. Didn't have much to do for 18 months, so I taught myself to draw. I am far better with graphite than with colors.

Hopefully no one minds the semi-necro, this is amazing work Bryan. Like you could get into selling your art if you haven't yet.

Thanks! I've sold a few portraits but just enough to cover my art supplies. I actually used to make a few bucks in prison doing art. $20 here and there isn't much in "real" money, but state pay for work detail was $5.25/week, so getting an extra $100 a month for portraits in there was big.

This, on the other hand, wouldn't get me minimum wage of I sold it for $1000... Took weeks of anal-retentive shading over a projection and then detailing w black marker and white gel pen.

At the writer's conventions I go to there's a lot of artists trying to sell their work or sell their skill for potential cover art. I made friends with a guy who makes Magic the Gathering cards and book cover art. You should look into it, you certainly have the skills for it.
