SCNs A&D forum. kitbashing there is largely tolerated. There are one, perhaps two good ones out there kitbashing, but that's about it. As for 3d designing, some people are rather good at it, very good in fact. 2d there is also a healthy standard, although unlike here, people tend to look more towards a nice composition of a starship, in balancing the individual parts and arrangements, rather then towards the specs or practicality.
