Text field

Post by McAvoy »

I got a new complaint. However I do not know if it DITL or not. The text field for replying for cell phones seems to freeze. I have to tap it outside outside of the field to see what I typed. It does in fact keeps up with what I wrote I just cannot see it. So he'll if I know if I am typing something correctly or autocorrect calls upon Satan to make my sentences make no sense.

I have only noticed it here.

There is a weird thing too where the text continues outside the text box.

I don't think that's something we can be responsible for our forum code is a very standard "bought in" (for free) package called phpBB. It's used on millions of forums worldwide and is the basis of quite a few of the other forum systems. Also, our forum uses a perfectly standard text entry box on a standard HTML page, nothing cleaver or in any way odd.

Have you updated your cell phone OS recently? It could easily be a bug in a new version of a browser or operating system.

On is up to date. The phone is a Galaxy S5.

My only idea is that Google Chrome has issues with certain sites.

Did you update it recently. That can install a version that has a bug from time to time. Especially if it's a major update.

It might be an update. On my old phone this never happened.
