I'm surprised to find no Wikipedia page on the Daystrom Institute Technical Library. Would anyone be willing to help me create one?

Wikipedia do not do page on single websites, that I'm aware of, unless it's a very notable site. I would PM Graham if you want details for the page.

Thanks, but I don't think you will get Wiki to think that.

Don't waste your time. All that would happen would be that the article would be deleted, and you'd get some random mod whinging at you. DITL simply isn't important enough in the grand scheme of things to warrant an entry.

I've had the name since I was an Ensign - it's hardly ever matched my DITL rank. Besides, the character I used for the name will always be Captain Nick Seafort, so there's no issue there.

:jawdrop: Can't you just say he got a promotion. Admiral Seafort sounds much better.

Admirals just sit behind desks.

Captains go hunting goldfish.

I'm sure if a new novel gets published in which Captain Seafort gets promoted, then our Seafort will change is screen name. ;)

Not going to happen unfortunately - they guy who wrote them died a few years ago. :(

Nick did get promoted a few times - he was elected UN Sec Gen a couple of times, and once promoted himself to Admiral, but he always ended up back as a Captain.
