Speed Issues
Has the forum been slower than usual for anyone else recently? It is not a regular occurance (i.e. it does not happen everytime I log in) but once in a while the forum will take much longer than usual to move from page to page. It seems to have started after the server move (or whatever it was last week).

Re: Speed Issues
I've noticed it on Safari. I attribute it to the new virtual server.

For me it is slower on every browser than previously.

Re: Speed Issues
It's slower for me across the board since the move.....it's on firefox as well.

Ditto for me, on both IE and Firefox.

I will try downloading some of the more obscure browsers and having a moosy when I get home. I suspect that its going to be the same problem across the board, although chrome seems to work perfectly fine. Weird.

Yes, I think the forum search is causing problems. I'm looking into it. I've disabled it for now.

Re: Speed Issues
When will you be turning the search back on out of curiosity?

Re: Speed Issues
Maybe it's just me, but I'm not seeing any real speed boost without the search....

Re: Speed Issues
I'm seeing a massive one. It would take time to show up. It's seems to be taking about 20 seconds or more to run a search using the forum. In computing terms that's about as long as an ice age. It's also so busy during that time that other things are fighting to get stuff done. I'm talking with the server providers to see what's up. I've also now got access to the mysql slow query logs. This will allow me to see if any of the sites pages need to be optimised. So far there's nothing too bad.
