Ship nits on main site

Post by stitch626 »

This is from a PM I sent Graham. He suggested I post it here.

Also you state in the Ambassador notes:
although fitted with the same number of torpedo tubes as the Excelsior
yet you indicate in the stats that the Ambassador has 2 tubes and the Excelsior has 4.

Also, in the Centaur entry, you give it 4 torpedo tubes (which is in green) in the stats, but later state:
The Centaur is equipped with two torpedo tubes

I was just thinking, should we just make a general "nitpick" thread to eliminate all these threads that get just one or two replies?

I think Rochey was talking about a general "main site nitpicks" thread. There's about a dozen of them on the first page alone, which can't be easy for Graham and Ian to work through. A single stickied thread on the subject would be a lot easier for both them and various discovers of nitpicks to find and read.

Ok sounds good. I'll change the title to "Nits on main site" and one of you moderators can sticky it.

Might as well leave the title as-is - some subdivision would probably be helpful, just so long as it doesn't turn into a dozen different threads.

Here's another one Graham...
For the Delta Flyer, you give it this spec:
2 x Type IV phaser cannon, total output 1,500 TeraWatts
But on the model, we can see at least 6 phaser arrays.

I think you posted in the wrong thread, Stitch, so I moved your post here to the ship nits thread.

For the Type 18 shuttle you comment:
The Type 18 is the new shuttlepod on DS9, mentioned in the DS9 technical manual but not seen on screen that I know of. The details on this page are largely based on the technical manual write up.
Yet you have two screen caps of it.

In the Scimitar notes section, many paragraphs have this at the end
#2009}
I have no idea what it means. :?

Also, not sure if this is intended but, the Xindi Aquatic ship does not have its own entry in the Xindi section, but is in the Others tab.
