Wow, I was still in college back when the forums opened.
And starting soon I'll be back in college to finish things up. Working in schools is definitively my dream job, but I'd like to actually get paid more than a living wage (for the area).

Re: Movie remakes you'd actually want to see
I would love to see a good remake of The Lost World (old silent film based on the novel, which aside from really old effects was IMO the best version). I know technically a book adaptation... Did you see the BBC miniseries of that from a while back? They basically were looking for something to do w...

Re: Ep 5: Pria (spoiler-iffic!)
Hit and miss on all the points mentioned.
I really liked the shot zooming into the ship when they were at the party. Gives a nice feel of scale. I wonder if it is consistent with other shots (past and future) or if this will be a case of the Bird of Prey.

Re: The Gifted -vs- Inhumans
On The Gifted, the kids were believable. I work in a school and they were convincing to me as people. Thats a major point in their favor. I understand what is going on in the universe and it fits in with the X-Men cinematic stuff just fine. The story didn't feel dragging even during the slow bits. M...

Re: Horrific mass murder at Las Vegas concert
Unfortunately, there are enough questions about the official story (like how the guy got several guns up there with no one noticing) that conspiracy groups are having a heyday.

Re: Single Season TV Series Favorites
Firefly for all the reasons listed.
Sad to hear Almost Human has nothing more. Just started it and love it.|
I don't think I've seen any other series that were canceled before a second season. Plenty though that were cancelled that I felt had something left in them though.

Re: Physics Says No, and other scientific anomalies
Loved The Core for its PSN. Made it better IMO. 90s disaster films. Most relied on their PSN for the plot. Also this line from one of said films. Think it may have been about ice tornadoes or something. "Physics doesn't work that way." "It does now." Literal PSN right there ackno...

1. What is your favorite word? Cheese-donut. If it has to be real, Bacon. 2. What is your least favorite word? Lit, fam, tweeking, fleek... basically anything said by 13 year olds that I have to hear every day. 3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? The music I hear inside my h...

Met Nemoy at one of his last conventions. He was nice to talk to, and it was clear Star Trek was not just a paycheck.
Also saw Bill Murray at a restaurant north of where I live.

Re: Tech
We know teleporters exist (they were not surprised at the possibility of the tech in the second episode). But it seems likely they are not on the ships, maybe due to size.
However, they have really useful replicators and decent holodecks.
