Re: Graham
I'm sorry I've only just seen this Ian. My deepest condolences to you and your family. This website provided me with one hell of an outlet when I was a young, precocious and irritating teenager. I was never one for big social circles an rather an outcast when I child but this site, run by the Kenned...

Re: Funny pics
Particularly ironic given that one of those kings ruled the country the USA rebelled against.McAvoy wrote:Well his fanbase literally thinks 'Trump was chosen by God'. Which is ironic considering, that is literally what European kings and queens said to justify their reign.

Re: United Kingdom Members: What does the Tory 'rebellion" m
Add in additional complications in that unlike in the states, we have several 'smaller' parties that could potentially be king makers depending how votes pass. The third largest party in parliament is the Scottish National Party who, beyond one or two seats, represent the entirely of Scotland. Scotl...

Graham, I'm so sorry for the loss of Trouble. However I'm glad that you'll be able to keep another dog happy and healthy. All you can hope for is to spend a life loved and happy which Trouble certainly had. Congratulations on your new lease on life Ian! Lucky thing. Hey, Reliant! Good to see you ag...

Re: United Kingdom Members: What does the Tory 'rebellion" m
I have been away far too long  In truth I highly doubt even most Brits could tell you what on earth is going to happen in the future. We don't know! I appreciate the spirit of Ian's point though I take exception to a few points (IE, the breaking of spending rules etc, the rampant dishonesty of ...

Re: What Is "Real Trek"?
Ian got it in one. Having the prestige of the brand Star Trek then running an articulated lorry through all of the lore that makes Star Trek what it is is nothing more than a cynical marketing exercise. Nevermind the fact STD is just bad , it's a dastardly abuse of the name Star Trek. The Abramsvers...

Re: DSC Renewed for Season 3
You know when you have a pet you absolutely adore and is very much part of the family but sadly has developed a severe limp, incurable cancer and possibly arthritis? You make the decision it's best to let them go.
I really wish Star Trek could be let go.

This may be the most exciting thing I've read in ages. we've gone without S3 in the UK and I'm desperately hoping we're among those getting it on Prime Now.

Re: Fix a DS9 Episode
For some reason, the crash of the Jem'Hadar fighter into the random nebula planet in Rocks and Shoals I think it was called always bugged me. I seem to remember dialogue talking about a lack of intertial dampers which would pretty much kill you etc. Just tweak some dialogue to them trying their bes...

Such as, the contextual definition of the word “jerk.” I sincerely hope he has grown up somewhat. I remember being rather supportive of him at the time but it was precocious, trusting nature of youth. I was barely a teenager at the time I suppose. Now an adult and twice as cynical as I should be fo...

Re: Language
Sounds like it. There was a early DS9 episode where a virus was scrabbling their brains so they spoke gibberish and the UT couldn't translate it. Also makes sense that the UT can figure out when to translate and when not to. As in speaking English and then speaking Klingon. Thats a good point actua...
