Re: Anyone care about Windows 9
So I just installed the technical preview (in a vm of course). At least the UI is nice, much nicer then windows 8. However what's really disturbing is that apparently you HAVE to sign in to a Microsoft account!!!! I am NOT happy about everything going cloud. >< I suppose there might be local only ac...

Re: SF Debris: Omega Directive
That seems to make sense. Also, if there were many of these in the early Universe how did the big bang happen? Soon as it happened i would have been destroyed and the Universe never would have expanded beyond a the smallest moment of time. LOL good point, why didn't I think of that?? :laughroll: Ma...

SF Debris: Omega Directive
http://blip.tv/sf-debris-opinionated-reviews/voy-the-omega-directive-review-7035912 Ok, so, if Omega destroys subspace, isn't that kind of saying its destroying a patch of the universe? Since subspace is kind of like the superstructure of the universe or something, or at least that's what it seems t...

"...and thank god this is over."
Also, what is this "All hail the overlord" thing he keeps showing at the end of his reviews?

How are AMD Linux Drivers?
My understanding is that Nvidia has at least in the past been more friendly to linux development and that AMD linux drivers can be buggy.
Anyone have any experience with AMD and linux?
Thanks

Re: So who owns the Star Trek gaming license now?
I wish I had the knowledge or the resources because I would at least attempt to make a sequel. Or somehow upgrade the original. There is an RTS template for UDK. I'm somewhat tempted to simply remake the game in another engine. But I would really like a full blown sequel; I'm thinking some kind of ...

Is it scientific to cling to what you know and dismiss anything else Nope. But it is most definitely human.[/quote Indeed it is. In any event, NASA (nor any other space agency) has the funds to "just build" anything simply because it might have a small chance of working a fraction of the ...

Cryptic/Perfect World hold the licence to STO (with CBS moderating it),and possibly any future MMO's, CBS holds the licence to any future games set in the Prime Universe, and PAramount hold the licence to any future JJ-Verse games while any past games licence are held by the company who made it, in...

EDIT: What FTL debacle? The neutrino thing? Yep. Though they broke the speed of light , turned out to be a faulty wire. Like I say, if this turns out to be legit then great. More power to them, and it may lead to all kinds of exciting stuff. I'm just not putting any money on it until it's been wide...

Re: NASA: "Impossible" Engine Could Change Space Travel Fore
Why doesn't anyone at nasa just build the friggin thing and test it???? I'm sure they will, once your check clears. What's that? You say, "Just do it" but you didn't send the funding yet? Well it sounds like someone had the money. But to not even look at it for years and years? That...

Re: NASA: "Impossible" Engine Could Change Space Travel Fore
Its fine to be a skeptic and all, but it seems like everyone's gone off the deep end here. Why doesn't anyone at nasa just build the friggin thing and test it???? I'm tired of this "I'm not touching this with a 10 foot pole" attitude. I say this because at least from the article I read it ...

So who owns the Star Trek gaming license now?
Just the people making Star Trek Online? I know there's a few shooters around based on abramsverse, but who owns the old titles like Elite Force, Armada, New Worlds, etc? I'd love to see new games like those and not just another MMO. Seems that's all people make these days is online only titles. If ...
