My username is a real name in my family. It's not very common - it's usually available on smaller sites, but on some of the larger ones it's already been created. In those cases, there's a longer version of it that I use.

My favorites are xkcd ("a webcomic of romance, sarcasm, math and language", probably the flagship geek comic), Dinosaur Comics (a hilarious constrained comic about talking dinosaurs) and Questionable Content (already mentioned).
