Re: USS Vengeance specifications

So did anyone ever get around to posting the specs on the Dreadnaught Class or Vengeance Class ships?

Re: New Enterprise Look - Part XVII: Strength of the shields

How strong should the shields be? The shields in TOS and the old time line were stronger than what is in Abrams universe. What would the 1701's shields be like against Vger for example? Somehow The warp factors and drive systems are better in the reboot timeline but shields were an afterthought. As...

Re: Future events in the Abrahms timeline?

He could help with what he knows, and what he doesn't know he can just say what he does know, and tell them what area they should focus on, saving them time studying useless areas they otherwise might have followed. Well Spock could help with some things like shields and possibly computer tech afte...

Now this is a very good question. I wonder what else was missed between the Kelvin and the Vulcan destruction that we are not aware of...

That is exactly what I was trying to do but somehow the reply part was lost and I see what happened now that I can look at it on a PC

Re: Nebula class questions

Why is the Nebula class considered a heavy cruiser? She looks more to me like the Reliant of that century, being to the Galaxy class what the Miranda was to the Constitution class of the 23rd century. True she has a secondary hull, but she looks AT MOST a medium cruiser to me. :) Actually the Nebul...

Re: New Enterprise Look - Answer

He did a whole series from the E-E to the E-J (My least favorite of any Trek ship) and showed the design evolution. Is it on this site? If so I will dredge through the forums, I would be interested in seeing his ideas. When I first saw the E-J I kinda liked it. Then it went rapidly downhill from th...

Re: Future events in the Abrahms timeline?

If there were to be a new Trek tv series, it'd be interesting if it were set in the 24th century of the Abramsverse. Or it would run the risk of being derivative, simply reusing stories from TNG et al, with a tiny spin--a whole series of the reused/flipped WoK/Darkness death scene. I'm on the fence...

Re: Future events in the Abrahms timeline?

Perhaps Spock was aware of something that would risk the Federation if he spoke about such things. Maybe he knows about S31 and is worried that they would be able to change the Federation if they knew what was coming. I am certain that Spock probably is aware of Section 31. In fact the Abrams unive...

Re: Future events in the Abrahms timeline?

Risking the entire federation and beyond to save relativly few doesn't strike me as especially logical. Quite the opposite in fact. 6 Billion would be considered a few in light of the Trillions in the Federation. Still if a logical way to eliminate that star before the Nova happened without destroy...

Yes having the war bird there was very nice because the Romulans should have had more of those than the D7 Klingon battle cruisers.

Spock has a history of using Logic to his own ends and getting all of his race back would count strongly in this because it would be the logical thing to do.

Re: Future events in the Abrahms timeline?

The timeline is already VERY different to the one that he came from. It would not be possible to "restart" it at all. The ships and tech and direction of Starfleet is already too different from his line. Very true but being a logical Vulcan wouldn't Spock want to save Vulcan from Nero? Ch...
