Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, has died

The UK, the world, and above all Her Majesty the Queen, have lost someone irreplaceable. A great character and a great man.

Two months short of his ton as well. :(

That's the bit I keep forgetting - that it's just that last section rather than the whole URL.

Until either a) the Supreme Court finds in Biden's favour or b) Biden's inauguration, I believe the old adage about chickens holds true. My source for this is the last four years.

Speed. TOS had them zooming around the galaxy willy-nilly, treating journeys of thousands of light years as a minor side trip.

Re: NEXT GENERATION TECHNICAL MANUAL HUH?

I suppose I should back up and explain, I'm a mechanical engineer. Symbols and something to the power of, would've clued me in to larger amounts. :) but to show what I mean, this is (exactly) how it is written in this copy. HARDWARE CONFIGURATION AND OPERATION In the preferred configuration, the st...

Re: NEXT GENERATION TECHNICAL MANUAL HUH?

I wish I could screen shot the tech manual, I did a cut and paste in the Quotations directly from the book. The copy I have may be Americanized as it doesn't have a (^) in any of the listed numbers. So it didn't have a 10^3 or a 10^15? :? 10^x is an alternate format that's a lot easier to write on ...

Re: NEXT GENERATION TECHNICAL MANUAL HUH?

Noticed something funny in the manual tonight (page #151). If the ships self destruct sequence is activated, "Matter from the primary deuterium tankage and the total supply of antimatter from the storage pods on Deck 42 are expelled simultaneously, producing an energy release on the order of 1...

Re: Trek Iron Man armor

This whole discussion also comes with why doesn't Starfleet possess armor or at least a setup for their people. Best we got was the security officers in the original Trek movies that had some set up like a helmet and body armor. The helmet seems to be a bit odd but it might be more to protect head ...

Albeit several tons of binoculars lighter.
