Re: Fleet Pic

Why are they all so closely packed together? It thought space battles were as boring as watching paint dry?

Re: UES Longbow render

I'm wondering now, are sail drives still in operation anywhere, or are they long since relegated out of museums and the like?

Re: Some fanfiction I have been reading....

I can get into your reading of it. Also, it is sometimes one-sided in what is told, either very long descriptions of battles, or continuous descriptions of technobabble, or politics rants. It never really interacts. Also, sometimes his phrasing gets a bit repetitive. "Photon torpedoes were adde...

Re: Covers for new Ships of The Line book revealed

I do hope this 3d designer, Mark Rademaker, is going to enter that. He is the one who designed a ring warp ship for NASA once. And I know from other forums he used to be asked to design ships and scenes in earlier calenders. http://www.cnet.com/news/mark-rademaker-designing-a-warp-drive-space-ship-f...

Re: Future Classics

How about films becoming classics by way of nostalgia? In the 2040s a significant part of the harry potter fans will be in their 40s-60s. Would they consider the films classics bacause they grew up along with the story, almost integrating it into their process towards adolescence?

Re: Outrage in Saudi Arabia: Newsanchor Dressed Provovativel

I think it is in part due to the amount of exposure to women. The more you try to suppress it, the more active other signals become, whether they be the shape of a body, legs, hairs, or anything else. That makes the women stand out more than they would in a western nation, where people need to parad...

I'll just leave a URL here. Turns out Mezoti cleaned up rather nicely. This is one of those moments you realise VOY ended far too long ago already.

Re: The Salvation War

Those difficulties, IIRC, are based on canon (the original version for once) - there's something in the Old Testament about the Israelites getting thumped in one of their perennial wars because the opposition had "iron chariots". The conclusion drawn was that iron is God's kryptonite. The...

Found this while wandering the net one day. Other versions call this white minimalist r&b. Not per se something I like, but fascinating nonetheless.

Re: The Salvation War

I cannot think of how you can realistically fight a being that literally created the Earth. Interesting thing you bring up. if you'll read the story, you'll notice that most of the time real world physics and our knowledge of the natural world still applies. Rather, this heaven assumed dominion ove...
