Re: Sci-Fi Babes/Hunks

Just rewatched Firefly... http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20060514191909/firefly/images/e/e9/Zoe04.jpg I love Firefly, and this one actress always seemed so familiar to me. Eventually I realized she was on the show "Cheopatra 2525", it was a cheesy sci-fi that you can watch on Hulu. But she was ...

Re: 3-D Printing as Precursor to Replication?

Seems to me that the only difference (in principle) between today's 3D printers and Star Trek's replicators is that today we use a print head to assemble the item particle by particle, and in Trek they use little transporters.

How so? You do it so you can walk around inside the Enterprise.

Re: Origin of Humans in BSG Universe

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, I have watched the whole series and am aware of the premise of a second human evolution. However, as I noted in my original post, humans evolving independently on different planets seems fantastic. I was just curious to know if anyone was aware of a more plausible e...

Re: If Soverigns could land...

Just build the hotel underground. Then you don't need to worry about how it holds up. Just dig an Enterprise-shaped hole and put it in there and let the ground hold it up. Use big LCD screens for the windows.

I quite enjoyed JP in 3D and I thought the conversion was pretty good.

Re: Is Game of Thrones the most boring and overrated show on

Since when did soap operas have a bunch of people fighting over a throne with the original family isolated in another land with baby dragons and up North there are white blue eyed zombies? Because please point out those soap operas? Yes, I'd like to know what makes this a soap opera. Any more than ...

Re: Funny pics

They addressed them not quite looking alike in the movie itself, "not quite the face that you remember" and any argument about being bald holds no water. In high school a friend of mine had ling hair, almost to his waist. In the second year of college he shaved his head one night and has shaved it ...

Re: Reason for D'Deridex size

I'll assume you meant the Enterprise's sensors. That is the most logical explanation. The Enterprise scanned the Vulcan ships, detected 2000 romulan lifesigns and various weapons and whatever other gear they had. The whole extrapolating that they were troops is irrelevant, as the important point is...

Re: Reason for D'Deridex size

Honestly, I have no idea. But I'm not trying to figure out the validity of the Romulan's plan. I'll be perfectly happy to assume that the Romulans had some way around this (even though Geordi was able to determine that there were Romulan troops on those ships, even the number of them.) Was able to ...
