Re: Deep Space Nine vs. Terok Nor
The episode where the Cardassian scientist install a communication relay on the other side of the wormhole shows their frustration with some of the changes that O'Brien made to DS9 in accordance with Starfleet safety codes.

Re: PRISM
No one NEEDS a personal cell phone. No one needs a GPS. No one needs Facebook. These things, and others, (laptop, satalite/cable tv, etc etc) just make life easier, not better and they certainly are not necessary. It is quite easy to take one out of the equation. Humans do not need a lot to live on...

Little Green Men
The story started out interesting enough, I like the Ferengi, it seemed like an interesting means of character development for Nog, Rom, or Quark. It all collapsed when they went back in time. Every new scene after that was more cringe worthy than the one before it, until mercifully the episode ends...

Re: How would you handle the Borg
Starting with Unity , I would change it so that Voyager helps the Collective against the hostiles, spends time studying the stricken Cube, and sets up a modified Vinculum that won't suppress the individual conscience. Though the Cooperative assists Voyager in gaining some insights into Borg culture ...

Re: Is this article just a tad optimistic?
Which is not tech anyone has at the moment. . . . Again is it doable? Maybe, but there's zero mandate to spend trillions on a home for rich people. I refer you to my earlier comment: All of this would need at least a decade of dedicated work, which no administration (China, EU, Russia, or USA) has ...

Totally going to disagree and say Zathru . . .
. . . Londo, yes Londo, had the best character development.

Re: Is this article just a tad optimistic?
You are talking hundreds of thousands of tons of material needing to be moved into orbit and out to the L4/L5 points. Our biggest launchers ever were limited to about 100 tons into LEO. You would need quite literally tens of thousands of Saturn V sized booster launches to get the necessary material...

Re: Oh my god why.......
Was anybody else around? Yes. Did anybody even realise what was going on? Supposedly not at first. I've heard that some witnesses thought the attackers, after hitting the man with their car rushed to give first aid. Was anybody close enough? Eventually, after they overcame their initial shock, some...

I think someone on here claimed I was a misogynist at some point (among other things) so here's your sign.

Re: (Not) Following orders - SPOILER
I don't understand why they couldn't just use the blood from one of the others, maybe just don't want to take the risk of it not working.
It would have given Khan an opportunity to escape so they can create a franchise.

Very interesting death sentence, just letting someone sleep in a frozen coma until the life support runs out.

Re: Into Darkness - the influences (SPOLIERS)
Hey did that blue swirly uniform that Adm Marcus put on look familiar to anyone? Maybe something from Voyager's time cops or Enterprise's temporal cold war?

Re: Into Darkness - the influences (SPOLIERS)
3) Admiral Marcus's office had models of the Ring Ship Enterprise from The Motion Picture, the Phoenix from First Contact, the NX test ship from "First Flight", the NX-01 from "Broken Bow", and the Kelvin from Star Trek XI. The ships seemed to be in a chronological order. I thou...
