Re: Hottest Woman in Trek

For me, it was a close call between Hoshi Sato and Ezri Dax. Ultimately, though, I voted for Sato. Seven of Nine is attractive, sure, but she never caught my eye quite like Hoshi Sato has.

Re: The Borg as a sub-plot?

I'm detached from unofficial Star Trek literature. There are no local stores that sell it, and I don't have access to a credit card to order them online. That being said, there are a few novels I'm interested in.

Re: Stargate: Universe Cancelled.

This is disappointing news, indeed. A lone vessel stranded so far from home... It kind of reminds me of Voyager, which is my favorite Star Trek series. I like Stargate Universe, and wish they didn't cancel it. Hell, I'm still raving mad over Atlantis only lasting five seasons. I'm even disappointed ...

The Borg as a sub-plot?

I just watched the very first episode of Deep Space Nine again (must be the tenth time I've seen it). At the very beginning, when Benjamin Sisko is in the escape pod and he looks out the window just in time to see his starship destroyed, that was a powerful image. I'd rarely call scenes from any Sta...

Holodecks

This may seem like a minor inconsistency, but it's something that's always bothered me. On several occasions, we see holograms that leave the holodeck (or any other area equipped with holo-emitters) vanish. Now, I think it's safe to assume that everything that's created in the holodeck is a hologram...

Spectre of the Gun

Why did Kirk approach the planet even after being told by its inhabitants not to? Usually I agree with decisions made by the Federation, but in this case... Doesn't the Federation usually preach tolerance, respect of other species' laws, and non-interference? I know Kirk had orders to make contact, ...

Starfleet And Non-Humanoid Species

The Federation seems to have one advantage over the Romulan Star Empire, and probably even the Klingon Empire as well. The Romulans and Klingons have conquered many worlds, but we have yet to see either power incorporate conquered citizens into their military forces. The Federation, however, consist...

Dr. Phlox

Enterprise is one of my favorite Star Trek series, yet there's one thing that's always mystified me. Dr. Phlox. Specifically, how many times he makes errors in judgment. Enterprise was only four seasons long, and yet I've seen too many cases of Dr. Phlox saying "X patient is going to be just fi...

Romulan Neutral Zone

I'm quite confused about something. If I remember my Star Trek correctly, the Romulan Neutral Zone is an area of space between the United Federation of Planets and the Romulan Star Empire which no ship, be it Federation or Romulan, is allowed to enter. If that's true, then why does it seem like ever...

Re: Question about the opening of Enterprise episodes...

Also, watching the ENT intro again just reminded me about how they completely failed to include any non-American achievments. Wasn't the HMS Enterprize an English vessel? If I recall correctly, it was shown at the beginning of the Enterprise opening credits. It was apparently intended to be a...

Question about the opening of Enterprise episodes...

In that video montage of the ships that came before the NX Enterprise, does anyone know what class of ship was shown right before the NX? It doesn't look like the NX-Alpha or the NX-Beta. It's the one that comes after the Phoenix.

Year of Hell

At the end of the Year of Hell episode, when the Voyager collides with the Krenim timeship, it shows Annorax working on the temporal weapon, with his wife still around. If he still creates the weapon, then wouldn't Voyager be caught in a time loop, since the guy creates the weapon anyways and keeps ...

The purpose of the Star Trek XI forum?

I don't necessarily have any argument against there being an entire forum for one Star Trek movie, but I've been wondering why you've chosen to make a forum for Star Trek XI and not Star Trek I to X. Is it because Star Trek XI made canon explode like a warp core breach? I mean, theoretically, I coul...
