Re: Xindi-Avians
I've been re-watching Enterprise. Currently in Season 3. Something has been on my mind ever since the series first aired, and it keeps coming back whenever I watch the series. In "The Shipment", the Xindi-Avians are first mentioned, believed to have gone extinct when their homeworld was d...

Re: Today I Watched...
Saw Dune 2 last night. I have read the first books over 20 years ago and I vaguely remember everything. I found it to be a great movie anyway even if someone has no clue about the books. It does drag a bit I think in the first hour of the movie but it does build up. It's a long movie so choose a mov...

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
Thank you all. It hasn't truly hit me yet. My Dad says the memorial service will be the hardest because that is when it hits in it's finality.
Even right now, my mind is finding it difficult that she is truly gone. Like she is in the bedroom when I come over or something.

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
Again, my sincerest condolences. In time you will come to remember all the excellent times you had together. Thinking of you Thank you. I accidently watched a video of my Mom recording her granddaughter (my niece) when she was three maybe four years old. It hit me hard because I heard my mother's v...

Re: Today I Watched...
Ted the TV series. I actually enjoyed it. It certainly has the Family Guy element going on. The running joke in Halloween episode having the hot apple pie so hot that it can start fires for example. The Dad is insufferable and by design. Almost cartoonist but at the same time easily believed especia...

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
My Mom died on February 29th at 5:30pm. They did a CAT scan earlier that day and found she wasn't getting oxygen in the area of her stomach. Which according to her doctor, it's indicating her stomach was dying. They could not do surgery because she wouldn't survive it or even she did she still had i...

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
Seems like a reasonable option so long as she can get there safely. Wishing for the best. Today we found out it can't happen. Some hospital politics. My Dad is still pissed because the hospital was so quick to try to pull the plug. Anyway my brother and his wife visited her today and she was wide a...

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
I think after sleeping on it, my Das has decided to keep the treatments for my Mom. The simple reason is that my Mom is responsive and at times wide awake. Yelling at nurses and all that. Pulling the plug so to speak just seems to be too early for that. Right now the idea is move her to another hosp...

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
Got a call today to come to the hospital this time very very serious. Last night at 11:30pm I got a call about sending my Mom back to the ICU, so I know today's phone call was serious. Anyway, treatments for my Mom's infection isn't working. The doctors have suggested at this point to do pain manage...

https://i.imgur.com/Bs6rFuo.jpg Nelson class is an interesting one that is one that came from the above G3 class. The reason why the turrets, the guns are all forward is dud to the armor scheme. Shorter armor box with all of the turrets forward as opposed to the more classic two forward, one or two...

Re: Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes | Teaser Trailer
The original movie is well worth watching. The sequels less so. For 1968 it was amazing. The final scene is excellent, but even if you don't know what it was would be somewhat spoiled by knowing the modern movies. I remember watching the original movies back in the 90's when they would do a maratho...

Re: Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes | Teaser Trailer
Are they ever going to have a nuclear war in this series of movies. It was always implied from the original that this was the downfall of mankind and the eventual rise of the Apes. These seem to have forgotten about that. I never watched the previous movie series but from what I gathered how the ap...

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
Thanks everyone. She is still not well and looking rough but stable. Yes, there is still a danger with that infection. But she seems to be getting better slowly. I do know she will be there for awhile and then get transferred for physical therapy. One of her issues which is more on her than anything...
