I would never have pegged Michael Keaton as Batman / Bruce Wayne but he was great as both. I was also skeptical about Heath Ledgers Joker and thought Anne Hathaway would be terrible as Catwoman - both were exceptional in their roles.
Ben Affleck deserves a chance.

Re: Steven Spielberg Predicts 'Implosion' of Film Industry
Haven't seen Lone Ranger, but its a fecking Western, it did not need such a high budget surely. 2 of my fave films of recent years, The Raid and Drive had low budgets - $1 Miillion and $13 Million respectively. They made 5 to 10 times that back at the box office. One thing I would like to see more ...

Re: Steven Spielberg Predicts 'Implosion' of Film Industry
I'll go see a movie on the big screen if its something I don't want to wait for, but I always try and go when the theatre is close to empty. I prefer watching a movie at home these days. My own food, 24 inch screen and good pair of headphones and I'm lost in the movie.

Just watching Casino Royale now. Aston Martin with a built in Medical Centre aside, it was refreshingly gadget free.

Brings to mind the difference between the gadget filled Bond films, and the later ones where the tech takes a back seat and Bond gets buy with his brains and wits.

Re: Warner Bros confirms Superman/Batman movie for 2015
Is Batman actually meant to be this super genius level guy, though? At least in the latest trilogy, he never won through by outwitting his opponents. He doesn't even build his own inventions, Fox and his company does that. Why would Batman be any smarter than Superman? That was my main issue with t...

That was a great crossover film. Although again, they did take out half the city in the end battle.
Been re-watching odd episodes of Batman TAS. Still gets me how well written the show was.

I don't get how people think its acceptable whilst drink driving isn't. A car is one of the most dangerous objects people are in control of on an everyday basis. People seem to think its only their live they're gambling with.
