And can you repopulate the whole species with just 2 Whales? What happens when the probe returns to converse with highly intelligent beings and find a race of inbred yokels?

I reckon he gave up his job at the institute, and became a door to door transparent aluminium salesman.

Re: The Next Bond Film is "SPECTRE"
Skyfall is full of plotholes, and Silva's plan to take out M was just way too elaborate to work. On the other hand, I really liked the look of the more low tech MI5, I'm hoping they keep the new HQ in Spectre. In the end, it came down to Bond outsmarting and outfighting his enemy, rather than relyin...

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
I just picked up a Pebble Smartwatch. Not as powerful as the more expensive Smartwatches, but its visible in daylight and will go 5 days without needing a recharge. Very useful if you don't drive and spend as much time walking about as I do. It lets me read txts and dismiss phone calls without havin...

Re: SF Debris: Blink
One of my all time faves. Funny, scary, sad (Billys hospital scene manages to be way more emotional then any of the so called tear jerking episodes later on - quite a feat for a character we'd just been introduced to).
Sally Sparrow would have made a great companion.

Re: What's your favourite use of music in a non-musical movi
"How Important Can It Be" in LA Confidential, as Jack finds Matts body in the motel room. And "Oh My Love" in Drive - the whole soundtrack to that film was genius. Can't believe BBC3 saw fit to re score it when they broadcast it recently. Oh, and Ride of the Valkyries. We can all...

Great to see Balance of Terror on the list, didn't reckon on it being top of the list. Quite possibly my fave episode ever.

Re: Anyone care about Windows 9
Isn't that essentially what Google Chrome Laptops are doing at the minute? Your machine just runs the web browser and everything runs off that? Wouldn't work for me, but for people who can do everything they need to through Chrome there are advantages. The machines themselves tend to have better per...

Not really my type of episode, but I thought it was brilliantly done. And the Doctor threatening to punch Robin Hood in the face pretty much makes him the best Doctor ever.

I'd prefer the fly around in the shuttle in Wrath of Khan. The Enterprise Refit was a gorgeous looking ship.McAvoy wrote:Just want to see the Big Reveal of Enterprise in The Motion Picture.
