And in ST: Beyond, the Franklin, taking off, hit a shitload of rocky outcroppings without any visible damage.

8/8 with no guesses, although while I knew the "Return to Whitch Mountain" picture, I have not seen the movie...

Should I be ashamed I saw all the others though? :P

I'd say that's a good reason to "why not"... :D

I like parodies, I mean one of my favorite movies of all time is Spaceballs, for crying out loud, so it's not like I'm of the "Only Highbrow comedy for me" crowd...

Re: Any Jack Reacher fans here?

When I read the books, I usually image J.R. played by Dolph Lundgren. While I liked Cruise's portrayal in the movies, I also think Dolph Lundgren would have made a very good Jack Reacher... Even today, he's still jacked, and still looks menacing... Plus he now has approximately the same age as the ...

Re: JUSTICE LEAGUE - Official Heroes Trailer

There were two key scenes that I enjoyed in it: 1) When Flash has to fight Superman, and you see Flash's reaction to a subtle movement 2) When Bruce Wayne is discussing how human Superman actually is, compared to himself Those were awesome... Flash fully confident he can blitz Clark, and then seein...

Re: Enterprise Crew Number

We know there is indeed a night shift, we've heard it called that. As for low staffing, I seem to recall the occasions on which we've seen the night shift there are fewer people around. I couldn't say for sure without checking, though. Why do they do it? I suspect it's to maintain as near-normal a ...

Re: Enterprise Crew Number

Why would the "night shift" be less staffed? Since day and night is artificial in space, and they need the ship to be operational at all hours, then why should there be a "night shift" at all? I would imagine the shifts are 8 hrs, with the replacement crew arriving slightly early...

Re: Enterprise Crew Number

So family members are counted as crew? That's a little nit-picky, c'est non? Yes, you could make the distinction between "crew" and "associated personnel assigned to the E-D," but to to try to discredit Graham's entry on that basis is just... well, unnecessary. If there were an ...

Re: Logan | Official Trailer

I thought that the Silver Samurai bit was as faithful to the source as that film got. The Silver Samurai in the comics is a man in Samurai armour, not a mecha... Anyway, I didn't like it as much as the rest of the movie... Getting back to Logan, saw it yesterday, it was dark, violent, but I liked i...

Re: Logan | Official Trailer

Very excited about it, but seeing as how the first two ended up as disappointments (not the best of the X-Men movies), I fear a similar feeling once I see it... Actually I rather liked The Wolverine myself. Anyway in a few weeks we'll know how this turns out (and what happened to all the other muta...
