I think he shied away from playing with the dark side crew because they're pretty much his parody crew personified. I have been rewatching the series as well. I think my favorite episodes are in seasons 3 and 4 (my favorite are the ones that lead up to B5 seceding). However there are several gems in season 2 that stand out as well.

I think both Chuck and Confused Mathew had excellent points about the film. While I will say it was slightly better than the 2009 film both in my opinion could have been a lot better.

I wouldn't mind a female doctor I think it would be a interesting switch up for the show. The only person I wouldn't want to see in the role for the doctor if he regenerates into a woman would be Alex Kingston, I had enough of her as River Song.
