Re: Federation Battlestar
Well,
it's what i said, this ships is designed to destroy a dominion dreadnought, and two or three of them can match a Borg Cube without Voyager technobabble.
(except if the Daystrom Institute has a Gaius Baltar who work about the Navigation Program )

Breach a system defense yes but i still think that she can breach the defense of a Dominion Dreadnought and two of these Battlestar, maybe three, can match a Borg Cube.
It's not only a planetary ship for me, but a Battlestar.

Re: Federation Battlestar
With phaser array & shields, we don't need to have the PDC of the Bucket, but if we want to fight Dominion & Borg, we need to have an heavy armament plus the carrier role, Defiant or a more little ship to fight the Dominion Attack Ship.
So the Beast seems to be a better choice, no?

Well that can work but if it's a anti-Dominion or ANti-Borg ship, maybe this ship can be the result of a coop? No?

If federation use Romulant Tech in the Defiant, why can't she uses Klingon tech?
After all, diplomatic relations with Klingon are better than relation with Romulan and they have Worf if they want an ambassador.

Yes, religion is just a good way to kill human whitout dealing with our conscience.
It's sad no? Using the words of a man who believe in fraternity as an excuse too kill.

Re: Is It Illegal To Be A Sith?
Well, Jedi Order is sometime seen as a religious order, and the first Sith, in the "modern meaning", were exiled Jedi who take controll of the population of Korriban, the first Sith.
With this point of view, all of the Jedi-Sith wars looks like wars between catholic & protestant.

Re: Federation Battlestar
Thank you! I agree with you for the era, a Battlestar can't be created in TOS and the Federation can't feel the need of a Battlestar before the battle of Wolf 359. And ships like the Dominion Dreadnought, the Scimitar & the Narada show that a Sovereign can't be enough. But for the cruise speed, ...

Re: Stats/Information on the new Enterprise
You could probably apply that to most Starfleet ships, though. They're all variations on the same basic parts. Most of all are variation of the same kitbash but sometimes, a ship is not just a kitbash. Te Akira don't look like a kitbash (but many kitbash will be made after her, like the NX) and the...

Re: How big SHOULD the Federation Fleet be?
Well, it's true that we never seen the size of Sci-Fi fleets. We know, because the Star Wars EU is canon, how many Star Destroyer exist in Star Wars, 25 000 Imperial & few hundred Imperial 2, but we have never seen how many ship exist in Star Trek, in a canon media. We know that they have more t...

Re: Federation Battlestar
Thank you!
And thank you to think the high cruise speed with low max speed is a good idea .
The cruise speed depends of the era of the ship, maybe a Warp 7 or 8?
