Re: Why NOT to Join the Federation

Would you really want to be in Starfleet? I mean, the casualty rate on those crews is awful high. If I had to be in Starfleet, I want to be in Turbolift control (referenced in Hide & Q). I picture it as a guy who sits in front of one of those big ship diagrams, with little glowing dots tracking...

However, that's a Saturday so it becomes the 1st. I have 4 days meaning Monday 28 Oct is my last work day, ever. One afternoon of that is go...

:? Wait :| .........How are winds (above the surface of the ocean) influencing water at the bottom of the ocean? I can see wind influencing surface waters, but the bottom layers? Does not compute. Or, how am I misreading the article?

If I were still single, yes, probably latter half of the 18th century right here in the colonies (US). Or to be more extreme, 1st or 2nd Dynasty Egypt, always had a fascination with early Khemet.

Re: 'Star Trek': Michelle Yeoh-Led 'Discovery' Spinoff Detai

They should take all of Discovery and say it is a Section 31 operation, then I might be able to accept it as Star Trek. As long as the end result is the advancement and protection of the Federation it makes sense.

Re: Midterm ELections: 49% Voter Turnout Highest in 104 year

I hear alot about these "voter suppression laws". but have never seen them spelled out, what exactly are they? Basically various laws that make it more difficult for people in certain areas to vote... Whether it is by limiting times to vote, times to register, or clearing names from regis...

Re: TIME's 2018 Person of the Year

I doubt Trumples is even interested, after all he's been there once already (2016?). Anyway this is the group that chose Adolph Hitler and Joseph Stalin, twice for Uncle Joe by the way. Kind of makes me question their judgement or perhaps their criteria.
