Re: The relationship between the Connie and the Miranda

The Miranda Class was comissioned a year before the Constitution Class (2243 to be exact). Pure speculation from DITL - the class was first observed in the mid 2280s, and there's no evidence of it before then. StarTrek.com says that it was introduced prior to 2285, which means it was introduced bef...

Re: The relationship between the Connie and the Miranda

The Miranda Class was comissioned a year before the Constitution Class (2243 to be exact). According to the information of this site, there the Miranda is equipped with 2x Second Class Photon Torpedo Tubes, with only 40 rounds. The Constitution has the same tubes, but has 120 torpedoes, so essentall...

Re: Miranda Class Discussion

I really like the Miranda Class. It seems that they can be easily upgraded with extra torpedo tubes and more advanced phasers to act as effective and fast moving friggates/escorts, even in modern combat situations. They can also be used as exploration, diplomatic, and science vessels. Very efficent ...

Re: A Question About "A Matter Of Honor"

I suppose he was probably over-confident of his ships abilities, but I still find it a bit hard to imagine a single K'Vort Class destroying a Galaxy Class. :\

Re: A Question About "A Matter Of Honor"

First off, the Klingon Captain seemed very confident in his ship's ability to destroy the Enterprise. The Pagh was a K'Vort Class ship (from what I can tell), it would seem that a K'Vort Class would be seriously inferrior to a Galaxy Class, because in Yesterday's Enterprise, the Enterprise took on ...

A Question About "A Matter Of Honor"

In the TNG Episode "A Matter Of Honor", Riker was sent aboard a Klingon ship Pagh. First off, the Klingon Captain seemed very confident in his ship's ability to destroy the Enterprise. The Pagh was a K'Vort Class ship (from what I can tell), it would seem that a K'Vort Class would be serio...

Re: TOS Federation Battlefleet and size

Considering the Constitution Class was the most advanced ship of that time, 12 isn't an unreasonable number. I'm sure this number eventually grew to at least 25 by the time they were retired from service. However, I'm aware of several other smaller friggates and cruisers (Including the Miranda Class...
