A small Earth cake item, cooked as a small individual cake. In the Kelvin timeline, a drunken James T. Kirk referred to a large Starfleet Cadet as cupcake in a bar in 2255 - an insult which helped to provoke a fight between Kirk and several Cadets. When Kirk was apprehended by the the same man on board the Enterprise in 2258, the man returned the insult. [1]
