When Worf and Data go into the bar to "search" for Ro in order to give her rebel credibility, Worf declares that if they discover she has been there the bar will be closed down. Interestingly, somebody immediately pipes up to say that she was there but left a few minutes ago. Worf and Data then leave. So, why don't they close the bar down? And why doesn't the bartender go pummel the guy who took that chance?
Factoid :
Ro mentions a Lieutenant Commander who resigned from Advanced Tactical Training to join the Maquis; although it is never canonically established, the writers had in mind that this was none other than Chakotay from Voyager. Some official sources confirm this idea, though in Voyager's "In The Flesh" it is canonically established that Chakotay resigned his commission on March 3rd 2368, close to three years before this episode. Oddly, this would be years before the Federation ever ceded colonies to the Cardassians in the first place - it's a year before "Chain of Command", let alone "Journey's End".

Plotline

Ensign Ro must fight on the side of the Cardassians against her own people - or betray Captain Picard.
