Review : I love this episode, as any self-respecting trekkie would. Everyone wants to play the bad guy at one point in their life, and the cast does this magnificently. Also, the costumer designers found a way to make the women's uniform even skimpier without being burnt at the stake by the censors. Last, but not least, a beautiful exchange at the beginning of the episode sums up what the Federation stands for. (I love moments like this.) Halkan Leader: Captain? You do have the might to FORCE the crystals from us. Kirk: But we won't. Consider that.

Review : This episode is so much fun! I count myself fortunate to have this episode recorded on video, and I smile every time I watch it!

Review : This movie was incredible! I loved the entire thing. It had so many contrasting moments between laughter, drama, and absolute terror - I am so glad I got to see it in the movies! Just two things: -1. The visuals were just a little too complex. They were great, don't get me wrong, but they could have been cleaned up just a little to better understand what was going on, for example, the Kelvin vs. the Narada. Also, later in the movie, when panning out from one of the Enterprise's windows, why did the camera flip upside-down? It just seems a bit much. -2. Lens flare. I probably walked out of that theater with cataracts. A few here and there were nice visual touches, but after a while, it's like staring at Locutus, only instead of a laser pointer, there's a flashlight. All in all, a fantastic movie. In the afterlife, J.J. Abrams and Gene Roddenberry will probably be sharing a glass of Bloodwine or Romulan Ale over this movie.

Review : This was not a bad episode, per se, but some of Will Wheaton's acting is just painful to watch. To his credit, his speech to Picard before finally going after the water wasn't half bad, although his success with the tricorder to defeat the energy being feels like he just won at a video game (but with a pretty hard boss battle). Another nit - when Picard lays down the arrow and they begin walking away, they go about 10-15 degrees off of the direction of the arrow. That may not seem like much, but as far away as those mountains are, that's so far off that anyone following would be miles (or kilometers, in deference to our gracious British web host) away...not the best way to secure a rescue.
